The Pirates traveled to Steilacoom on April 29 and came away with a 12-2 non-league victory. The game was a tune-up for the Nisqually League Playoffs. Matt Amick was on the mound for the visiting Pirates. At the end of two innings, the game was tied 2-2, but Vashon exploded for five runs in the third and another five runs in the fourth to put the game away. The contest was called after five innings due to the ten-run rule.
Hitting stars were Matt Dick who was 3 for 4 with a double and four RBIs, Wes Paulsen who went 3 for 3 with two RBIs, and Julian Smith who was 2 for 4 with a double.
