On Friday April 8th, the Pirates team will travel over the mountains to play Cashmere High School at 4:00pm. They will have dinner as a team and spend the night in Cashmere. On Saturday, April 9th, Vashon will play a doubleheader at Chelan High School at 11:00am and 2pm. The team will return to Vashon Saturday evening.
The Bulldogs of Cashmere finished 21-3 last year and are defending state and league champs, and to quote their coach: We’ve got a lot of experience coming back, and the guys seem to have high expectations after last year. They’re pretty hungry, and I think they want to write their own chapter.”
The Chelan Goats on the other hand were 9-12 last year and are off to a slow start this year. Hopefully, the weather will be better than last year when the first game was snowed out and the remaining two games were played in 45 degree weather with gusting winds.
