On Tuesday (5/10) the Pirate JV team lost a hard fought game 6-4 against the Orting Cardinals. Joe Wald started on the mound for Vashon and pitched the first three innings. Michael Bernheisel relieved him in the fourth and pitched the final three innings. Each pitcher struck out two. Colton Alberthal was the top hitter for the Pirates going 2-4 with a triple and 1 RBI. The defensive play of the day was a very nice 6-4-3 double play in the first inning- Bernheisel to Geoffrey Kraabel to Kelly Sullivan.
