Pirates Outmuscled by Tarriers, 9-0

On Wednesday (April 4th) Vashon hit the road and traveled to Charles Wright to play their third league game of the season against the undefeated Tarriers.  Josh Myer started on the hill for the Pirates pitching three innings and allowing two runs on four hits with no walks.  He was relieved by Joe Wald in the fourth.  Wald struggled with his control and Charles Wright took full advantage putting up back to back three run innings.  Erik Powelson came on in the sixth inning and recorded the final two outs.  Leading the Pirate hitting attack were Myer who was two for two and Ben Reoux who was two for three.  Adding to the hit total were Ezra Lacina and Michael Bernheisel who each had a single.  Despite the six hits, Vashon was unable to push any runs across against the strong Tarrier pitching.  Your final line score:  Charles Wright  9 runs, 8 hits, 2 errors    Vashon 0 runs, 6 hits, 3 errors.
