Pirates Upended by Cougars

 Returning from a week long Spring Break, Vashon played host to the Cascade Christian team on Tuesday, April 17th.  The visitors came away with a six inning 15-3 victory.  Josh Myer started on the hill for the Pirates and pitched three innings, allowing eight hits and five earned runs.  He also gave up three walks and posted one strikeout.  Ben Reoux relieved in the fourth and surrendered four hits, five earned runs, and four base on balls over 2+ innings.  Michael Bernheisel came on in the sixth and got the final two outs.  The Vashon hitting attack was held to four singles-two by Reoux and one each by Zack Drape and Joe Wald.  Defensively, the Pirates committed five errors, leading to five unearned runs.  The line score:  Cascade Christian 15 runs, 12 hits, 0 errors   Vashon 3 runs, 4 hits, 5 errors.
